Disabled Parking

Students, Faculty, and Staff MUST display both a valid USC parking permit and your DMV issued placard/license plate when parked anywhere on the USC campus, including meters.

TrojanTransportation is taking proactive measures to ensure all disabled spaces are occupied by the intended users and are more available. In order to minimize this problem we are implementing aggressive Parking Enforcement, subsequently higher fines and administrative measures for persons found illegally parking and/or unauthorized possession of a disabled placard. Part of our aggressive enforcement will be to conduct random disabled space audits. Our trained enforcement officers; authorized by law (CVC section 22511.56) can and will demand disabled placard users (during the audit) to present their DMV issued disabled placard identification card or registration card.

Consequences


Violation Fine
Any vehicle parked in designated disabled space without both a valid disabled placard/vehicle license plate and a valid USC parking permit $300.00
Any unauthorized person displaying a disabled person's placard or vehicle license plate who is not authorized to do so $500.00
Total - An individual found to be parking in a designated accessible space AND utilizing someone else's placard $800.00

Disciplinary action will also be taken by either the Student Judiciary Affairs or the Dean or Vice President. Whichever deemed appropriate.
