I have seen the vanpools on the freeway, where can I find information about vanpooling?
All information is available on the Transportation Services vanpool website. For more specific information, please contact our rideshare coordinator.
 
Do the vanpools only go to the main campus (University Park Campus)?
USC has vanpools for both University Park Campus and the Health Sciences Campus.
 
How do I sign up for a Vanpool space?
Please contact our rideshare coordinator to sign up for a space.
 
I am a student, do you limit your vanpooling to Faculty and Staff only?
No, students are also encouraged to participate in the Vanpool program.
 
If there is not a Vanpool in a area that I live, how can I start the request process to the additions of vanpools?
Before Transportation Services begins reviewing the implementation of new Vanpool routes, we review the number of requests for a specific area. Also, we review to see if there is already a major rideshare option available in the area (Metrolink train route, etc.). Please contact our rideshare coordinator for more specific information.
 
How do I pay for my monthly vanpooling cost?
Transportation Services will deduct the amount for the monthly cost from your payroll and/or student accounts.
 
What are the locations that Transportation Services have vanpools from?

How much does the vanpool service cost per month?
Prices vary per location, range from $92 to $146. Daily rates are $11 or $13, depending on location.
 
What are my parking options if I cannot ride the vanpool to USC?
USC Transportation Services offers three complimentary daily parking passes a month for vanpool riders.
 
How often do the vanpools run daily?
The vanpools have a strict schedule that runs once in the mornings and once in the afternoon (Between 7am-5pm). Most of the vanpools arrive at USC around 7:30am and depart around 4:30pm.
 
What happens if I miss my vanpool ride home?
Transportation Services does not offer rides home for vanpoolers who have missed their vanpools, or are planning on working late. If your schedule requires you to have a working schedule that conflicts with your vanpool schedule for a temporary basis, contact Transportation Services for a alternative parking options until your working schedule is back to the vanpool hours.
 
How do I apply for the vanpool program?
You can stop by Transportation Services and pick up an application packet, or download it and mail it or drop it off.
 
How soon can I start vanpooling?
All vanpool assignments are on a first come first served basis and seats are limited so please stop by the Transportation Services office for more information.
