Starting July 1st, 2025 Metrolink will offer a Student Discount for 50% off rides on their commuter trains for active students. Additionally, when students purchase a Metrolink pass, it includes free access to connections with other transit agencies like Metro and Amtrak, which you can learn more about\u00a0here<\/a>. In order to claim your discount:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Download<\/strong> the Metrolink mobile app.<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n
  2. Register\u00a0<\/strong>an account\u00a0using your school email.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  3. When purchasing a ticket in the Metrolink App, you must select \u2018Student\/Youth\u2019 as the Rider Type<\/strong><\/li>\n
  4. You are required to carry a valid student ID<\/strong> when you board<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    To use your pass on Metrolink trains, you\u2019ll need to activate your pass before boarding via the Metrolink mobile app ticket wallet. Students\u00a0MUST<\/strong>\u00a0present a\u00a0valid ticket and student ID<\/u>\u00a0when riding the train.<\/p>\n
