The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) is unique among the nation’s transportation agencies. It serves as transportation planner and coordinator, designer, builder and operator for one of the country’s largest, most populous counties. More than 9.6 million people – nearly one-third of California’s residents – live, work, and play within its 1,433-square-mile service area.
USC is a Metro corporate partner, and USC Transportation provides pretax payroll deduction and three free parking passes/month to all program enrollees. The USC Graduate Student Government also administers a Graduate Metro U-pass card program specifically for their constituents, and undergraduate students can obtain discounted TAP cards through USC Transportation.
Metro also offers guided tours of the Expo Line, the rail transit line adjacent to USC! Please visit their website at www.metro.net/tours for complete program information and details on how to register.
