The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) is unique among the nation’s transportation agencies. It serves as transportation planner and coordinator, designer, builder and operator for one of the country’s largest, most populous counties. More than 9.6 million people – nearly one-third of California’s residents – live, work, and play within its 1,433-square-mile service area.

USC is a Metro corporate partner, and USC Transportation makes available a monthly subsidy to all faculty and staff who choose to use Metro as their primary commuting option and do NOT have a current parking permit.  The USC Graduate Student Government also administers a Graduate Metro TAP card program specifically for their constituents, and undergraduate students can also obtain discounted passes through Transportation Services.
