NOTE: This grant-funded program is currently only being offered by Metrolink through June 30, 2025.
Metrolink offers the Student Adventure Pass for free rides on their commuter trains for active students. Additionally, this pass includes free connections with other transit agencies like Metro and Amtrak, which you can learn more about here. In order to get your pass:
- Download the Metrolink mobile app.
- Register an account using your school email.
- Verify your account via the confirmation email (check your spam folder) and you’ll receive your Student Adventure Pass directly to your mobile to your mobile Metrolink app wallet within 24 hours.
To use your pass on Metrolink trains, you’ll need to activate your pass before boarding via the Metrolink mobile app ticket wallet. Students MUST present a valid ticket and student ID when riding the train.
