WINTER RECESS CLOSURES:

During USC’s Extended Winter Recess (December 24-January 5), the following pedestrian access points to campus will be closed. They will reopen at 6:00am on Monday, January 6:

  • Watt Way @ Jefferson Blvd.
  • Watt Way @ Exposition Blvd.
  • Pardee Way Entrance

The following pedestrian access points to campus will remain available 24/7 throughout Extended Winter Recess:

  • McCarthy Quad
  • Trousdale Pkwy @ Jefferson Blvd.
  • Trousdale Pkwy @ Exposition Blvd.
  • McClintock Avenue Entrance
  • Downey Way Entrance

General information / process

USC students, faculty, staff, and all other visitors to the USC University Park Campus (UPC) can easily and quickly access the campus with the proper identification. You simply need to present your USCard, USC-issued QR code access pass, and government-issued photo ID to the campus entrance ambassadors, and you’re in!

Below is a summary of the acceptable forms of credentials for campus access for various guests:

  1. USC students, faculty, and staff: your current USCard – take advantage of fast lanes at many access points!
  2. USC Associates: your current USC Associates card and a government-issued photo ID (Associates cards do not have photos)
  3. Alumni: Please visit the Alumni Association Campus Access webpage for specific instructions on how alumni can access campus
  4. Identified (known) Visitors hosted by a USC student/employee/department: QR Code issued via visitor.usc.edu and a government-issued photo ID
  5. Event attendees: QR code received from a USC event planner as part of a bulk download from visitor.usc.edu and a government-issued photo ID; questions should be addressed to: campusaccess@usc.edu
  6. Walk-ups, or visitors who come to campus without a QR code or a USC sponsor: A valid driver’s license or passport is required, which will be scanned at the customer service tents at select pedestrian access points. See the Campus Access Map for tent locations.

The following categories of guests will be allowed campus access without a QR code or Government-issued photo ID:

  1. Medical or Dental Patients – Confirmation of appointment is required
  2. Branded delivery vehicles (e.g., FedEx, UPS)
  3. Rideshare vehicles – Active pick-ups and drop-offs only
  4. Emergency vehicles and uniformed emergency personnel
  5. Unbranded food/delivery vehicles – Copy of the food/delivery order is required

McClintock and McCarthy vehicle entrances are open 24/7; all others open 6:00am-8:00pm, Monday-Friday (excluding USC Holidays).
