DART is a free service provided by USC Transportation for staff, faculty, and students with mobility limitations that substantially affect travel across the University Park Campus (UPC).

Service Area

  • UPC on campus service only: DART carts are not street legal and cannot leave campus.
  • Refer to the USC map for building locations.

  • Monday-Friday: 8:00AM-7:00PM
    • Last scheduled pickup at 6:45PM
  • Closed: Weekends, holidays, Summer, and Winter breaks

DART Guidelines

Before scheduling a ride, please review the following guidelines. For complete details, see the DART Code of Conduct & Program Guidelines PDF.

  • Drivers will wait up to 5 minutes at your scheduled pickup location.
  • To ensure the safety of all riders, passengers should be able to enter and exit the cart independently, without driver assistance.
  • Mobility devices: All mobility devices, including wheelchairs and scooters, must be collapsible and fit securely in the passenger row or storage area.
  • Drivers follow pre-approved campus routes and drop off points. Drivers will not deviate for safety reasons.
  • Cancellations: If you do not require a scheduled ride please cancel in advance through our online DART appointments portal.

No-Shows and Missed Pickups

  • Failure to appear for a scheduled ride will result in cancellation of remaining rides for the day. To keep your remaining rides, please call 213-740-5398 as soon as possible.
  • Missed pickups (arriving late) may affect your ability to schedule additional rides for the remainder of the day due to limited availability.
  • Service will be terminated after five (5) consecutive no shows/missed pickups.

Scheduling Rides

  • Submit requests online using the DART appointments form. All requests must be submitted before 7:00PM the night before your requested ride(s). Last-minute requests may not be available; please request service as far in advance as possible.
  • Schedule pick-ups at least 20 minutes early to account for delays and ensure timely arrival to your destination.
  • Rides are first come, first served; early booking increases chances of preferred times
  • No medical documentation is required to request service
