NEW! CLICK HERE for Fall 2026 Student Permit Sale Dates and Information! (posted July 1)
USC Transportation has been paperless since July 2025! We no longer issue physical objects like parking permit stickers or hang tags – the license plate of your vehicle will be your permission to park on campus.
Our software system, AIMS, requires you to associate a vehicle to your permit purchase. If you do not yet have a vehicle, but would like to purchase a permit online, please use the following information:
- Plate #: use your ten digit USCID (this creates a unique record in AIMS)
- State/Prov.: use “Pending” from the drop-down list (this tells us this is not a real vehicle record)
- Year/Make/Model/Color: enter anything; they are mandatory fields, but do not matter for a fake vehicle record
Since our Enforcement team uses license plate recognition, be sure to log back into your account and make a permanent vehicle change in AIMS once you have acquired a vehicle.

A lot has changed regarding permit sales for Summer 2026; please take a few minutes to review the important updates below regarding permit issuance and parking rules for the 2026 Summer term.
Permits sold in OffStreet:
Over the summer, USC Transportation is changing the backbone technology vendor that runs our entire enterprise; during this transition, Student Summer permits will only be available through Offstreet, our existing third-party partner for pay-by-space areas, carpool permits, and selected other permits. Your current parking portal interface on our website will be deactivated on June 30, and the new vendor’s interface will be installed over the summer.
Designated Parking Structures:
Dedicated structure assignments will be enforced during the summer, similar to the Fall and Spring terms. Your designated parking location will be determined by the permit you purchase. Please ensure you choose your preferred structure carefully, as parking will only be permitted in your assigned location during normal working hours (7:00am-5:00pm). For options outside of those hours, see below. (NOTE: You can always park 24/7 in your permitted location.)
No Relocation During Normal Working Hours:
Related to the point above, vehicles may only park in their assigned location during normal working hours. For more details on where and when permits are valid in alternate locations, please refer to our “Where Can I Park?” guide, located on this page: https://transnet.usc.edu/index.php/rules-regulations-citations/
Permit Terms:
Summer permits are being divided into two sessions, in order to properly reflect the permit rate increase taking effect on July 1. If you need parking for a period of time that spans across these two date ranges, you must purchase both permits separately. You may purchase a permit that expires on June 30 regardless of when purchased; Session 2 permits have a two-week minimum.
Session 1: May 16 – June 30 (no longer available)
Session 2: July 1 – August 16
NOTE: Permit costs in both sessions are prorated at the time of sale based on chosen start date, chosen end date, selected permit type/location, selected session, etc. Please consider/choose all components of you purchase carefully: REFUNDS ARE NOT AVAILABLE FOR UNUSED DAYS.
In order to maintain a fair and safe parking environment for all USC constituents, failure to comply with our posted rules and regulations may result in your vehicle being cited. Please take care when choosing the parking location you wish to use during the summer, and when entering your vehicle license plate, as that creates your permission to park. If you have any questions, please review these FAQs for additional information, or email us at auxtrans@usc.edu.

How to Cancel a Parking Permit
The only way to cancel a permit you no longer want or need is to complete our online permit cancellation form. IMPORTANT NOTE: Submitted cancellation forms are typically processed within one business day – please complete this form WHEN YOU WANT YOUR PERMIT CANCELLED. We do not accept requests for future dates – if you need the cancellation processed at a later date, please submit the form on that later date.
In all cases, prorated refunds for cancelled permits will be based on the date on which it is cancelled (exception: prorated refunds are not available during the final month of a given semester). Permits returned after a permit start date has passed are not eligible for a full refund.
