Historically, USC Transportation has been requested to provide extra services related to our industry, including such services as jump-starting dead batteries, performing keyless vehicle entries in the event someone locked themselves out, etc.
Unfortunately, advances in vehicle technology and complexity have converted this from a simple customer service to a point of liability for the University. Effective January 1, 2022, USC staff are not longer able to provide these services. This includes members of USC Transportation as well as the Department of Public Safety.
If you are locked out of your vehicle, need a battery jump-started, a tire changed, etc., please contact a friend or family member to assist you, or a private company who specifically provide roadside assistance services. Thank you for your understanding.
