Transportation Service Reminders for Fall
Fall has arrived! With students returning to campus and the new academic year about to begin, we wanted to remind the campus community of our Fall semester hours for some of our most popular services:
PARKING PERMITS / DAILY SALES
Still need to purchase a permit but don’t want to wait in line? Permits are now available for purchase online! As always, simply visit www.usc.edu/parking to create an account online, or log in if you already have an account, select one of the available structures and purchase the permit. This year, instead of waiting in line to pick up your permit, you can print a temporary pass to display on your windshield while you wait for your permit to arrive in the mail. Structure availability is currently limited to Parking Structures 1 and 2 and the University Parking Center. Purchase today before space sells out!
If you or guests are planning to visit campus, please be aware that daily sales on campus are extremely limited, and may be unavailable due to space considerations. Anyone interested in a daily parking pass should go directly to the University Parking Center at the corner of Grand Avenue and Hope Street. Parking there is $10/day, and a free shuttle will bring you to campus every 15 minutes between the hours of 7:00am-6:00pm, and every 20 minutes from 6:00-7:00am and 6:00-10:00pm.
Our buses will begin their Fall schedules on Monday, August 22nd. Due to construction both on and off campus, a number of routes and bus stops have changed. Please be sure to visit www.usc.edu/parking for the most recent schedules/information.
Our Intercampus Weekend bus service begins Sunday, September 11th. This service is available from 8:30am – 4:30pm on Saturdays and Sundays. The service does NOT operate on the following days due to Los Angeles Rams, USC home football games and University holidays: September 18th, October 1st, October 8th-9th, October 27th, November 5th-6th, November 20th, November 26th-27th, and December 11th.
Want to know the latest updates on bus delays and cancellations? Follow us on Twitter @USCBuses or visit our Bus Map and Schedule page at www.usc.edu/parking. Campus routes can also be tracked live at www.uscbuses.com.
Our Campus Cruiser program will resume service from 6:00pm – 2:45am beginning Friday, August 19th. Operation times vary due to holidays and football games, so please check our website for hours. Campus Cruiser now has both a smartphone app and website for ride requests. Download the Campus Cruiser app for your iPhone or Android phone today or visit us online at https://usc.ridecell.com/request.
We are pleased to announce that USC will be extending its program with Uber in the University Park neighborhood as a supplement to the Campus Cruiser program. All Uber rides within the campus cruiser boundaries will be paid for by USC beginning Friday, August 19th, from 7:00pm – 2:00am, Sunday through Saturday, when wait periods for a Campus Cruiser exceed 15 minutes. This program is offered to help reduce wait times for transportation during these peak periods. Operation times vary due to holidays and football games, so please check our website for hours. To sign up, simply visit get.uber.com/go/uscfall2016.
Please note, Campus Cruiser and Uber will not begin service until 10:30pm on Saturday, August 20th, due to the Rams football game.
A warm welcome to all incoming freshmen, and welcome back to all returning students! Please let us know if you have any questions.
